We’re in fall and headed for some cold winter months, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find inspiration in the spring 2012 collections (might have to add on some layers though).

Get the cool, casual and elegant Phillip Lim look by going for delicate materials paired with structured pieces, and by playing with shapes and cuts. Combine pastel colours and white with black and navy for outfits that will brighten up dark winter days. And have fun adding accessories, such as a yellow bag, a silver belt and chunky heels, to your look.

Scott Schuman‘s suggestion to make a DIY project out of the denim jacket in Phillip Lim’s spring collection is also a great idea!

I’m happy to say that I’m writing to you from Spain at the moment! I’m on holiday with my family in Costa del Sol where I’m enjoying the lovely weather, exploring and all the activities we have planned. :)

I thought I’d share some of my travel tips, which can come in handy when traveling to and from fashion week, Costa Del Sol or other destinations. :) Here they are:

1) Comfy Clothes
Travel in comfortable yet stylish clothes that won’t bother you during flight. Go for things such as stretchy skinny trousers, simple tops and cozy oversized jumpers, and try to keep your accessories at a minimum.

2) Scarf
It can get quite cold on the plane so keep a scarf with you which you can through on if it gets chilly.

3) Comfy Shoes
Same applies to shoes as to clothes. When carrying around heavy luggage, tax free shopping and spending many hours in air you want your feet to be happy and comfortable.

4) Big Bag
As your hand luggage bring a big bag for all your stuff. Some things that should be packed in your hand luggage include things of value, a few beauty products, wet wipes, your ticket, and…
(by the way I may have bought the bronze bag at Zara today :)

5) Passport
…your passport!

6) Wallet
Remember credit cards, currency, identification, and other wallet essentials.

7) Reading material
Stay entertained during flight by bringing along some reading material. I like to bring fashion magazines such as Elle and I often have my laptop with me so I can watch movies and TV shows.

8) Suitcase with 4 wheels
I have to admit that although I would really like to I rarely travel light… My suitcase always weighs just around the weight limit and it can get tiresome dragging it around… Therefore I’m really happy to have a suitcase with 4 wheels which I can roll around without stress. Makes all the difference!

9) Luggage tag
Make sure you attach a luggage tag to your suitcase so you can easily identify it. It’s a good idea to either use a distinctive luggage tag or for example tie some ribbon to your suitcase so you can spot it.

10) Beauty Case
Remember all your favourite and must-have beauty products, and pack them in a pretty beauty case.

There are so many gorgeous autumn items arriving in stores at the moment making me forget about bikinis and sunhats and start thinking about jumpers, coats and boots. It’s always fun to plan a new season wardrobe and outfits but I have to say I hope it stays warm for quite a while longer… :)

Today has been an exciting day. I’m back in London and today I started my internship. It went well and I’m looking forward to see what tasks I’ll get throughout the week and to see more of the company. After work I stopped by Snog for some delicious frozen yogurt and went to see Bridesmaids at the cinema. It was hilarious! :) You should definitely see it if you haven’t already.

Love these Topshop dresses that remind me a lot of the dresses in Miu Miu’s Spring 2011 collection. The colours are lovely and the silhouette flattering!

Topshop’s Giuseppe Zanotti inspired glitter heels are really awesome! They will arrive in stores this fall so I’m definitely going to try and get my hands on a pair then! :)

I have a new summer wardrobe favourite! =) This dress combines many things I love; blue, green, turquoise, flowers, sheer, mini, midi, slits, sleeves, straps – it’s got it all!

Pretty things in pretty colours! I particularly love the denim Mulberry bag. It is such a great shade and shape and perfect for summer! Hanneli looks adorable wearing hers here and here. Perhaps I’ll try to sew a similar denim bag… =)
