Yesterday’s Outfit: Jacket/Trousers/Pumps/Sequin Clutch from Zara, Top from Whyred

I spent yesterday with my friend Jennifer. We went for a walk in Hype Park and Kensington Gardens, had lunch at the french restaurant Aubaine by Regent’s Street, and did some halloween shopping. A lovely Saturday! :)

I wore my new red trousers which I got from Zara for 20 pounds! A great bargain! Red/burgundy trousers are having a moment. They are casual and cool, brighten up fall outfits and can be styled in many ways. I wore mine with my black zipper jacket, black pumps (ballerinas at times) and gold sequin clutch.

We’re in fall and headed for some cold winter months, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find inspiration in the spring 2012 collections (might have to add on some layers though).

Get the cool, casual and elegant Phillip Lim look by going for delicate materials paired with structured pieces, and by playing with shapes and cuts. Combine pastel colours and white with black and navy for outfits that will brighten up dark winter days. And have fun adding accessories, such as a yellow bag, a silver belt and chunky heels, to your look.

Scott Schuman‘s suggestion to make a DIY project out of the denim jacket in Phillip Lim’s spring collection is also a great idea!

On friday I wore this outfit. It was a really warm and sunny day so my jacket didn’t really come in handy before the sun went down… But I will definitely be wearing this jacket a lot the coming months in chilly London. I got it at Zara here in New York and I really love it! The material, zippers and shape give it the perfect balance of classic yet cool.

I wore this outfit when we visited the charming city Ronda earlier this week. Ronda lies in the Spanish mountains and is divided in two by a 100 meter deep canyon. The views from the city are incredible and the city itself is lovely. I had a great time strolling through the streets of the old town, listening to harp and flute music played by street musicians, and eating a delicious Spanish meal at a local restaurant.

This jacket is definitely one of my wardrobe favourites! Love the colour, fabric and style of it! On friday I wore it to the Wembley concert. I kept it simple by combining it with black and a pearl necklace (which is falling apart, but I kind of like the way it looks now…).
